On an overly cloudy day, I decided to try to go up the highest local mountain peak, in hopes of getting photos from above the cloud cover. Unfortunately, I had to turn back because of snow; I wasn't in a 4WD vehicle, and it was only going to get worse the higher I went, on a road that barely qualifies as a road.

As you can see in this photo, it wouldn't have worked anyway. Had the clouds been low enough to climb above, this shot would have almost zero visibility, since I was about 700 feet short of the summit at this point.
